The Department of General Surgery held a vascular workshop in the Skills Acquisition & Innovation Laboratory (SAIL) on March 21. Twelve residents attended the hands-on event.

Under the guidance of vascular surgeon Dr. Sharif Ellozy, an associate professor of clinical surgery in the division of vascular and endovascular surgery, the residents learned and performed multiple anastomotic procedures on synthetic cadaver vessels.
Participants commented that the four-hour workshop was one of the best they had attended in the SAIL lab.
