For residents at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, the Skills Acquisition & Innovation Laboratory (SAIL) offers state-of-the-art educational experiences.
On November 16, the Division of Interventional Radiology (IR) held a hands-on workshop for its residents to perform IR surgical procedures using the high-fidelity Mentice simulator. Guided by faculty, residents mastered IR procedures for accuracy, and chose the appropriate catheters and guide wires for each procedure.
The residents also used the simulator to compete against each other after mastering the techniques.
